Here is a little summary of our trip to Italy. I didn't include everything because I have to have some stories to tell ;)

We are visiting the site of the Alied landings in Italy today. The dangers of war have long passed and no this seaside town is quite quaint. We made a trip to the landing museum and got to see some of the implements of war they had dug up.

On our way out of town we got the mobile home stuck. Evidently no parking is an optional thing, since cars had parked on both the no parking and the no stopping sides of the street. If you take that into consideration with the already narrow streets and you have very little room. Several locals helped me get it through by going down the wrong way on a side street. I literally cleared one spot by 2-3 inches on both sides. I drank a few that night.

I don't know if you realized this or not but I went to a Benedictine School for part of my college career so that makes Pope Benedict and I are BFF. (Best Friends Forever)

We went to the audience with the Pope today. Afterwards we went to the Vatican Museum, and saw the Sistine Chapel. The whole tour was awesome and I highly recommend it.

Como to Pisa, Italy

Today was our first day of long driving, if you can call it that. We drove about 350km. Having a caravan is great. I slept in the back for a bit while Jo drove.

Today's Italian word is galleria which means tunnel. We have been in and out of tunnels all day.

The "Torre Pendante" or leaning tower of Pisa is amazing. It looks almost surreal.
