The pic has since been changed! The man in the street is gone possibly run down by this rogue bug. Google must be hiring people to do this job, because this appears to be some contraption on top of a volkswagon bug. You can see the white dome on the car in the pic which is either a GPS reciever or sateilite control becon so Google headquarters can move the car based on your query. A quick check and there is now one in from of my mother's house and in front of my aunt Martha's house. That means there are creepy people with alien controlled attack cars with photo rods taking pictures of their car in your neighborhood. Although I also noted that not all picutres have the car in the picture so they must be using cars that are smaller than a volkswagon bug. I would keep a lookout for extremely small cars with cameras in your neighborhood! Be wary if you see one of these cars idle. These cars are prolly controlled by the Google search engine. When you search for an address these cars race over and take a picture. So if you are standing too close the next street level pciture will show you as a hood ornament on a very small car.

Have you seen this?
http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GGIC_enUS266&q=10402+Harwin+Drive
If you goto the link you can click on "Street View" and it will show you what that spot looks like. I think it is a pretty good idea. In this case, I used it to determine what to look for while driving down Harwin to Directron.com for some new RAM.
Although, it looks like google is smarter than the folks they hired to take the picture. It is in the middle of Harwin with cars driving by. You can see the camera and tripod shadow. A quick check online and those cameras cost around $2000 with the lens alone going for $600.
