 If you goto the link you can click on "Street View" and it will show you what that spot looks like. I think it is a pretty good idea. In this case, I used it to determine what to look for while driving down Harwin to Directron.com for some new RAM.

Although, it looks like google is smarter than the folks they hired to take the picture. It is in the middle of Harwin with cars driving by. You can see the camera and tripod shadow. A quick check online and those cameras cost around $2000 with the lens alone going for $600.
