For those of you I somehow forgot to tell, I have joined the Texas Army National Guard. I thought I had told everyone, but I am continually finding people who don't know. I am sure even now someone will learn about it from this post. If this is the first you have heard about it, I am sorry about that. I thought for sure you knew.

Today, I am shipping out for 12 weeks of training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While at training I won't be using my phone or internet and I will only be allowed to write and receive letters. If for some reason I do get my phone it will only be for a few minutes, so I won't bother checking my voice mail. The hardest part is going to be spending time away from my family, but missing my friends will be near the top of that list. My wife will be posting my address on facebook after she gets it, so if you would like to write me I would be happy to have the "company".
